Erwin Christian Botsch, son of the late Christian W. Botsch and Flora Mary Winter Botsch, was born in Carmi, Illinois on August 14, 1921 and departed this life in The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 2, 2018 at the age of 96.
Mr. Botsch was a Farmer and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dexter, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Vivian Rhoda Blackman on December 23, 1945. She preceded her husband in death on January 16, 1993. He later married Eula Fern Jones on July 12, 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Fern Botsch of Dexter, Missouri; by two sons, Alan Botsch of Bernie, Missouri and Noel Botsch of Oak Ridge, Missouri; by one brother, Orlando Botsch of Bernie, Missouri; by ten grandchildren, Tara Zeller, Tonya Botsch, Alan Botsch Jr., Eric Botsch, Natalie Lorenz, Brad Botsch, Nathan Botsch, Alicia Botsch, Stephanie Aul and Amber Botsch; by fourteen great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents and his first wife; by one son, Neal Botsch; by two brothers, Ernest W. Botsch and Dennis Botsch.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. Until 2:00 P.M. Funeral Services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Bass officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
