Jack G. Holloway, 82, of Bloomsburg died on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, a resident of The Gardens at Orangeville. Jack was a resident of his home in South Centre for over 54 years.
Jack was born on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1935, in Beach Haven, a son of the late Dingman and Ethel (Long) Holloway. Throughout his younger years, Jack attended the Berwick-area schools. For most of his working career, he was a truck driver. He was last employed by Freidman’s Express Trucking Co. Jack enjoyed spending his time motorcycle riding, boating, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Lavena M. (Price) Holloway, on Feb. 2, 1999.
Survivors include his six children: Cynthia M. Rinker and husband, Franklin III, of Bloomsburg, Lori D. Laubach and husband, Butch, of Bloomsburg, Lisa K. Prosceno and husband, Dwayne, of Bloomsburg, Paula S. Young of Bloomsburg, Douglas P. Holloway and wife, Joann, of Nescopeck, and Dean A. Holloway of Nescopeck; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Jack will be buried beside his beloved wife in Elan Memorial Park.
