Paul Evans Hensley, Jr., 72, of Elkton, passed away, Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Sentara RMH Medical Center. Born January 19, 1946 in Rockingham County, he was the son of the late Paul Evans Hensley, Sr. and Lucille Frances Hammer Hensley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Imogene L. Hensley and his sister, Alana Jane "Kate" Hensley.
Paul attended Montevideo High School. He was employed with Dupont and Dunham Bush for many years and retired from Merck in 2008 as a chemical operator where he had been employed since 1977. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, working on cars and watching old western movies. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In 2008, he married Victoria "Vicki" Alexander Hensley, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Timothy Evans Hensley and wife, Sandy; two daughters, Angela M. Michael and husband, Steve and Paula H. Cude and husband, Jay; four grandchildren, Eve Michael, Gabriel Michael, Jacob Cude and Emma Cude; two step-grandchildren, Kimberly Compton and Randy Seal and seven step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30pm on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton . Friends and family may also visit the home of his son, Timothy, on Florist Rd. in Elkton, at anytime.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elkton Volunteer Rescue Squad and/or McGaheysville Volunteer Fire Company.
