Montgomery, TX - Ima Smith was born September 25, 1920 in Covington, LA to Joe and Ella Bossier. She passed away on July 30, 2018 with family by her side. Mrs. Smith was a former resident of Shreveport, LA and a longtime member of Queensbough/Willowpoint Baptist Church. After moving to Montgomery, TX to live with daughter Janelle Jordan, Mrs. Smith became a member of First Baptist Church Montgomery, TX.

She is preceded in death by husband of 68 years, Travis D. Smith; son-in-law, Larry B. Jordan, granddaughter, Sheri Smith Colbaugh; great-granddaughter, Brook Marie Hudson; brothers, Reggie Bossier, Eddie Bossier, Louis Bossier; and sister Zelda Monlezun.

Surviving siblings are Juanita Grissom, Jack Bossier and, Sally and husband Howard Stutzman, sister-in-law Gail Bossier, and brother in-law TJ (Buck) Monlezun.

Mrs. Smith leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who loved and will miss her. She is survived by daughter, Janelle S. Jordan; daughter and son-in-law, Joylyn and Johnny Smith; grandchildren, Rusty Jordan and his wife Karen, Randy Jordan and his wife Dana, Lisa Jordan, Debra Jimenez and her husband Rudy, Ricky Smith and his wife Toni, and Cynthia Wiman and her husband Derris; 20 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

The family expresses their appreciation to Livia, Stella, and Traditions Hospice for their loving care.

The family request that memorial donations may be sent to Reach Unlimited, 11832 Mueller Cemetery Road, Cypress TX 77070.

Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery.
