Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Congregational church in Westmoreland for Raymond Rex Conyers, 59, Westmoreland. Mr. Conyers died Sunday, July 14, 2002 at his home. He suffered complications from diabetes and cancer.
He was born December 29, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska to Raymond R. and Barbara Sorenson Conyers and spent his early life in Fremont, Nebraska and Aurora, Colorado. He graduated from Sedalia, Missouri high school in 1961 and attended Aurora Community College and Kansas State University. He had been a truck driver for several companies.
He married Lorraine Krohn on December 12, 1977 at Buda, Texas. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Raymond R. Conyers III, Denver; a daughter, Desiree Foerstner, Englewood, Colorado; a sister, Jane Schomber, Huachuca, Arizona; and five grandchildren.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association, the Christian Church in Westmoreland or the organization of the donor's choice. Kufahl funeral home in Wheaton was in charge of arrangements.
