Tamara was predeceased by her parents, Ella Ruth Gilbert and Willie Stocks, both from North Carolina; a son, Tyshon Gilbert-Flanagan Jr.; a brother, Morris Stocks; and her grandparents, William and Ella Short-Gilbert and Charlotte Stocks, all from North Carolina. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Jamere, Jah'eara, and Antwon of Eatontown; her fiancé, Takinda Byrd of Eatontown; her grandfather, June Stocks of Fayetteville, N.C.; six sisters, Juantasha "Tasha" Gilbert-Sims of Eatontown, Tara Gilbert of Asbury Park, Catherine Stocks-Melvin, Lucinda Stocks, Rosealene Stocks, and Dawn Stocks of Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother-in-law, Junius Sims of Eatontown; two uncles, David Lee Gilbert of Atlanta, Ga., and Jan Carl Gilbert of Greenville, N.C.; three aunts, Pansy Gilbert-Ellis of Greenville, N.C., Emily Gilbert of Atlanta, Ga., and Mary Hair of Fayetteville, N.C.; one godbrother, Terrence Cox of Long Branch; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The wake will be at Second Baptist Church, 93 Liberty St., Long Branch, NJ. Childs Funeral Home, Red Bank, NJ is in charge of arrangements.
