Tommy Wayne Sherman, 76, of Texarkana, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, in a local hospital.
Mr. Sherman was born April 12, 1942, in Beirne, Arkansas, to Ollie B. and Edgar L. Sherman. He was a retired logger for Sherman Logging Company, and a member of First Baptist Church in Nash. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, beekeeper, and master gardener.
Mr. Sherman is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hannah Grace Sherman.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Sherman, of Texarkana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy and Toni Sherman of Nash, Texas, and Mark Sherman of Combine, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Ellen Sherman, of Nash, Texas; one granddaughter, Kaitlin Sherman of Nash, Texas; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Chapelwood Funeral Home in Nash, Texas, with Rev. Rex Roberts officiating. Private burial will be held in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August, 3, 2018, between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
