Sandra Lee (Owens) Huff, 68, was born March 13, 1950 in Yakima, WA to Joe W. Owens and Helen A. (Rice) Owens. She attended school in Parker Heights and Wapato. Sandy met Jack Huff after he returned from Vietnam. They married October 30, 1972, and made their home in Toppenish, WA. They had two sons, Doug and Bobby Huff. Sandy was a stay-at-home wife and mom. Jack being born and raised in Oklahoma, they moved back and forth several times. After Sandy’s parents died they returned to Oklahoma in 2002 until Jack’s death in 2011. Sandy and son moved to Montana for a few years. She wanted to be near her other son Bobby and Mary Jo. She moved to Olympia, WA where she lived until her death July 25, 2018.

Sandy is survived by her sons Doug Huff of Olympia, WA, and Bobby (Mary Jo) Huff of Rainier, WA, sister Jeri Guzman of Yakima, WA, brothers Bill (Pat) Owens of Grandview, WA, Ed Owens of Richland, WA, and Chuck (Bernie) Owens of Thompson Falls, MT, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Jack Huff in 2011, parents Joe Owens in 1997, and Helen Owens in 2000, sister Debra (Owens) James in 1983, brother Jim Owens in 2001, and nephew Charlie Sloan in 2010.

Sandy will be buried with her husband Jack Don Huff Jr., 62, born November 18, 1949 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Jack Don Huff Sr. and Laura Esta (Maze) Huff. Jack served his country in the U.S. Army from September 1969 to May 1970. Jack was a gunner in a helicopter. After being shot down he returned to the states in casts. Jack received numerous medals including his Air Medal and a Purple Heart. He met Sandy in Yakima, and they married October 30, 1972. At the time of Jack’s death he was survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandy, sons Doug Huff, and Bobby and wife Mary Jo Huff of Washington, brothers Jim Huff, Sam (Kathy) Huff, and Sonny (Louise) Bailey, and sister Barb (Norman) Layfield, all of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Teena Gowdy and Gladys Jeane Bailey.

Sandy and Jack will be buried together in the veterans’ section at Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima, WA. Graveside services will be held August 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Rest in peace, Jack and Sandy. We all love you and will miss you both.
