He was born on April 7, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of the late Jean Skrzpek. He was married to Charlene Gentry, she preceded him in death on April 8, 2013.
Jim proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Ford Motor Company for over 36 years before retiring.
Jim loved his family very much and loved going to all his car shows during the summer months.
Jim is survived by his daughter Rebecca King and granddaughter Brianna King.
In addition he was proceeded by his Mom, Sister and Son, James DeWayne Gentry Jr.
In accordance with Jim’s wishes he will be cremated and a burial service will be held graveside Monday, August 6th at 11am at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, 34224 Ford Rd., Westland MI 48185
