" Bruce Degraw Carroll born March 6, 1927, died Feb. 18, 2010 in Westerville, Ohio. He proudly served his country as an Army Medic during WWII. He graduated from Westerville High School, class of 1945 and Ohio State University, class of 1952. He worked for Standard Oil of Ohio in Lima and in Cleveland. he became plant manager for Parks Chemical Company in Detroit in the 1960's from which he retired in 1987. He resided many years in Brighton, MI where he spend his retirement years serving Livingston County Red Cross as Chairman of the Board. He was an avid genealogist, researching family history for both family and friends. Bruce's focus for his entire lifetime was always the welfare and happiness of his family. He was a loving father to his children, grandchildren and also to his step family. Whatever he engaged in-work-friends,- or family, he was clear thinking and dependable, a man people trusted. He is preceded in death by his sister, Faith Vicek.
He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Marguerite Carroll; daughter Paula Carroll, son David Caroll, daughters Julie Jeffery, and Carol Neros and son, Kevin Carroll. stepchildren, Martha, Carolyn, Jeane, Martin Rosentsteel, Rita. and 11 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Church of the Master, Westerville, Ohio, Feb. 24. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Red Cross or Hospice."End of almost direct quote from newspaper OBIT.
