NORTH RICHLAND HILLS--Dorothy Claire Lindsay Allred, 86, went to her heavenly home peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018. She fought a courageous battle of cancer for over eight years. FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Friday at Legacy Church of Christ in North Richland Hills. Entombment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Haven Children's Home or Body and Soul Ministries. She loved Jesus; her sweetheart, Aubrey; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was ready for heaven and God granted her wish transitioning peacefully, having conversation and laughing right before she died. It was important to her that her family loves the Lord and passes that on to the generations to come. She loved her family so much. She is perfect now. No more blindness, no more cancer. We're confident she's with our Lord in heaven and being greeted by her parents; all her siblings; many friends; and her precious sweetheart, Aubrey Sr., just before their 70th wedding anniversary. SURVIVORS: Sons, Aubrey Allred Jr. and wife, Sandy, Ronnie Allred and David Allred; grandchildren, Lance Allred, Ashlea Adams, Alexis Blair, Michelle Pickett and Austin Allred; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Grace Allred, Luke Adams, Kate Adams, Parker Blair, and Madalyn Grace Pickett; brother-in-law, John Rosemergy; and sister-in-law, Lawana Mauldin. She was blessed with many extended family members and a countless number of friends. Special thanks to Jan Ingram who cared for and became a wonderful companion the last few months.
