Stanley Gray walked through the gates of Heaven on July 29, 2018 after a long illness. He has no more pain and no more tears, just happiness in the glory of God.
Stanley was born October 14, 1943 in Bakersfield, CA the son of Albert and Frances (Teague) Gray. He married Kathy on February 26, 2006 in Muskogee. He worked for Muskogee Iron Works for many years and later drove a tour bus for over ten years. Stanley loved to sing and play his guitar. He was inducted into Americas Old-Time Country Music Hall of Fame with a group of friends called Crystal River.
Stanley will be greatly missed. His little grins and smiles and his loving spirit for his loved ones and friends. Stanley said his greatest accomplishment in this world was his children, his four sons and two beautiful daughters that he loved deeply.
He is survived by his wife Kathy of the home, three sons, Jack Gray and wife Kimbie of Webbers Falls, Preston Gray and wife Debbie of Del Ray, CA and Ryan Gray and wife Amanda of Muskogee; one daughter Diane McConnell of Ft. Smith, AR; one step son, Michael Thomason of Muskogee; one brother Danny Gray and wife Elaine of Haskell, OK; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Dennis and one daughter Dana.
Funeral services will he held a 1 pm Thursday August 2, 2018 in the Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Jack McComb and Shane Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral of Muskogee.
Pallbearers will be Lester Tate, Troy Bell, George Miller, Gloyd Miller, Glen Briley and David Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Green, Herb Battenfield and Jim Nixon
