John Barrington Rollins, Jr., age 77 of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. He was born March 14, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama, son of the late John Barrington Rollins, Sr. and the late Laura Sue Henson Rollins. He graduated from Bremen High School and attended West Georgia College. He retired from Colonial Pipeline Company in 1996. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bremen, an avid reader, and was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. He is preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy White Rollins of Carrollton; his children, Denise and Jim Nelms of Carrollton, David and JoAnne Rollins of Marietta, and DeAnne and Devin Akin of Carrollton; sister, Sylvia Padgett of Bremen; grandchildren, Mallory Dobbs of Baldwin, GA, Drew Rollins of Marietta, Sarah Dunn of Covington, Rachael Stokes of Lawrenceville, Mary Childers of Atlanta, Hannah Akin of Carrollton, Abbey Akin of Carrollton, and Grace Holmes of Lawrenceville; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Shelton; and five nieces and four nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Herman Parker and Mr. James Langston officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Drew Rollins, Eric Mansfield, Ryan Stokes, Michael Dunn, John Dobbs, and Jim Nelms.
