Leo D. “Bud” Baughman, 91, formerly of Irvinedale Road, Warren, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Warren General Hospital.
Bud was born March 6, 1927 in Brookville, PA, the son of the late Jay and Sara (Painter) Baughman.
Bud served in the US Army Air Corp from 1945 to 1947 in the South Pacific Theatre. He was employed in mechanical maintenance at Sylvania for thirty-nine years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Lifetime member of the Hobah Lodge # 276 Free and Accepted Masons, member of the Coudersport Consistory, GTE Quarter Century Club, and the American Legion Post #195. Bud was a die-hard Penn State fan, was a former member of the Brookville Greys baseball team, enjoyed bowling, golf, dirt track racing, and was a member of the Blueberry Hill Senior League.
He was preceded in death on September 11, 2007 by his wife, Nellie L. (Brosius) Baughman, whom he married on June 26, 1948 in Summerville, PA; and sisters, Jean Burns, Louise Neil, Mary Ellen McManigle and Joan Grant.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda (David) Samuelson of Warren, PA and Linda (Dennis) Smith of Warren, PA; two sons, Craig (Beverly) Baughman of Wilmington, NC and Sam Baughman of Warren, PA; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365 on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4 to 7 P.M. and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, with Rev. Ralph Culp, pastor, Covenant United Methodist church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Brookville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Rouse, 701 Rouse Ave., Youngsville, PA 16371.
