Manitowoc - Ordella M. Pekarske, age 83, a resident of Manitowoc Health and Rehab, formerly of Valders, passed away Friday evening, July 27, 2018.
She was born February 11, 1935 in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Gordon and Virginia (Knudson) Wittmus. Ordella graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. On October 29, 1955 she married Robert M. Pekarske. He preceded her in death in August 1983. Ordella was a great cook and would welcome anyone into her home for a meal. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include three children and their spouses: Pamela "Penny" & Warren Lutze, Valders, Diane & James Palmar, Greenfield, and Robert "Bob" & Marilyn Pekarske, Menominee Falls; five grandchildren: Rachel Lutze, Allison & Ken Yourek, John Palmar, Brittany & Matt Schulte, and Samantha Pekarske; two great-grandchildren: Eleanor Schulte and Frances Yourek; her siblings and their spouses: Gordon & Bev Wittmus, LeRoy & Karen Wittmus, Wayne Wittmus, Werner & Nannette Wittmus, Veronica Dehne, and Dale & Kathy Wittmus; and her sister-in-law and dear friend: Jeanette "Netty" Pekarske. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She is further preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Agnes & Max Pekarske; one sister: Henrietta Yeager; one brother: Al Wittmus; and a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Anne and Commander Gerald Wilda and Joseph Pekarske.
Cremation has occurred at the All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Liberty. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Gregory Pope.
