Richard was born August 15, 1939 at Cottonwood Maternity Hospital in Murray. He passed away on July 28, 2018 at his home due to incidents of age.

He is the son of Jesse Lynn Booth (Midvale) and Alta Lyle McCloy Booth (Murray), who preceded Richard in death. His first home was in Bingham Canyon and was mostly a lifelong resident of Utah. Richard graduated from Olympus High School and attended BYU and the U. of U. for two years each, where he studied Business and Psychology. He served six years in the Utah Air National Guard.

Richard was a member of the LDS Church, ordained a High Priest. He served in the Great Lakes Mission.

Richard enjoyed boating and water skiing — especially at Lake Powell. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and traveling.

Richard was a business owner in the carpet and drapery industry. He also worked in real estate and insurance.

Richard is survived by his former spouse, Marian Salmon (Alberta, Canada); six children, Kathy Booth, Suzy Lance (Tony), Rick Lynn Booth, Daniel Mitchell Booth (Emma), Michael Booth (Angelica), and Wendy Tui; thirteen grandchildren, Brandon Lance, Jessica Lance, Nathan Lance, Sean Lance, Kyler Vaughan, Brianna Vaughan, Kassie Tui, Leini Tui, Hyrum Booth, Daniela Booth, Zack Booth, and Ashlyn Booth; and siblings, Bette Stokes (Portland, Oregon), Russell K. Booth (Nina) (Salt Lake City), and Shirley Booth Michael (Salt Lake City).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford Ward Chapel, 3179 South Highland Drive (1395 East), Millcreek, with a viewing prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
