Annie Sue Johnson Burgess, 76, of Julian passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
A graveside service was conducted on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian, NC with Reverend Wesley Hall officiating. The family received friends at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Sue was the daughter of the late George Sidney Johnson and Mary Estelle Bost Johnson and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Gladys Cuberson, Mary Lois White, Helen Beckom; brothers, Larry Johnson, Clyde Johnson and Ray Johnson.
Sue was survived by her husband of 54 years, William “Bill” Burgess; daughter, Susan Burgess Jones and husband Mike of Liberty; son, William Eric Burgess of Julian; granddaughter, Savannah Jones; grandson, Austin Jones and brother, Sidney Johnson.
Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty was honored to serve the Burgess family.
