Kathie grew up in Sharon, Wisconsin, and graduated from Big Foot High School.
She attended college in Whitewater, Wisconsin, before entering the Marines in December 1965.
After achieving the rank of SSGT, she left the Corps with a background in photography. She then went on to a career with the Library of Congress and retired from Defense Mapping.
She is survived by siblings Doug Baker of Weatherford, TX, Pat Baker of Denton, TX, and Martin Baker of Ennis, TX.
Kathie just celebrated 51 years with Juanita Lamb, her life partner whom she married in 2013.
Kathie loved to travel, cook, and entertain. She had many friends and family who enjoyed her cooking, friendship, and smiles. Kathie never met a recipe she couldn’t improve.
Her memorial service will be 1:00 PM Monday, August 6, Bring’s Broadway Chapel, Tucson, AZ.
