Mr. Jaime Ramos, 55, of Corsicana, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Jaime was born in El Salvador to Alejo Padilla and Julia Ramos. Jaime met Maria Maltez in August of 1986. They moved from El Salvador to America, eventually settling in Corsicana, Texas.

Jaime worked as a carpenter for most of his life. He was a hardworking man, who always kept a calm demeanor. Being the oldest of all his siblings, Jaime was there for them anytime they needed help. He was able to help them all join him and Maria in America. He was never known to put a burden on anyone's shoulder; his strength and his kindness will be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

After being together just shy of 32 years, Jaime still brought Maria roses every chance he got. He was an attentive man, who always wanted to make her happy. He was a devoted, loving husband, who also had a humorous side. Jaime had nicknames for all his kids – even if they didn't care for them. His children knew him as an honest man with no bad habits.

Jaime will be remembered as a man who enjoyed making people laugh, an awesome father, a great son, and a dear friend. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him, and his legacy as an honest, hardworking, and loving man will continue. R5
