Thomas Sanborn Rites Saturday
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Methodist church for Thomas Dow Sanborn who died dearly Thursday morning at the Sedan City hospital. Rev Robert B. Craig officiated, and interment was in Greenwood cemetery under the direction of the Graves Baird funeral home.

Sanborn, a lifelong resident of Chautauqua county, was born July 28, 1883, at Lowe, a son of W. W. and Barbara Sanborn. He had lived in Sedan about 10 years. He and ElVessa Myers were married in Sedan June 11, 1908. She survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Dola Foster of Sedan, Mrs. Gena Stewart of Moline, Mrs. Barbara Wilcoxon of Wichita and Mrs. Theora Taggart of Iola; four sons, Otis of Sedan, Kyle of Cedar Vale, Vernon of Arkansas City and Herman of Wichita; 23 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brunner, Mrs. Dessie Webber, Mrs. Blanche Banning, all of Sedan; and a brother Orville Sanborn of Iola.
