Mathurin, fils de Julien Le Devehat et de Perrine David, est né le 27 septembre 1855 à Lann-Sarre en Guem, département du Morbihan en Bretagne.

Le 4 février, 1877, il épousa Francoise Allanic à Malguénac, Morbihan. Francoise était la fille de Pierre Allanic et de Julienne Le Fouiller.

Francoise naquit le 15 avril, 1858, au "dit" (Stumultan) Malguenac, Morbihan en Bretagne.

Mathurin etait cultivateur a Lann-Sarre en Guem. Ils eleverent 11 enfants. En mars, 1905, ils deciderent de partir pour le Canada avec Marguerite (nouvellement marié avec Gaston Rebiffé), Marie-Louise, Mathurine, Mathurin, et Marie. Julien, leur fils ainé, est resté en France.

Ils ont pris le bateau à St-Malo, port-de-mer, jusqu'en Angleterre. Ensuite ils prirent le bateau "Vancouver à Liverpool et se rendirent à Halifax. Leurs trajet fini avec le train pour Saint-Claude au Manitoba.

Ils s'etablirent dans une maison au sud du village de St-Claude et plus tard sur une terre (section #2-9-7) au nord de Saint-Claude, Manitoba.

En 1933 ils quittent la terre à Saint-Claude pour retoumer en leur pays natal en Bretagne, France. Leur ferme a été vendu à Femand et Marie-Louise Bruneau, qui passerent Ia ferme à leur fils Albert et son epouse Marie-Louise. La ferme est presentement la propriété de Marc Bruneau qui est l'arriere petit fils de Mathurin et Francoise. Francoise est décedée à (Stumultan) Malguenac, Morbihan. Elle est inhumée dans le cimetière de Stival, Morbihan, France.

Apres la mort de Francoise, Mathurin est venu habiter avec son fils Mathurin et sa belle fille Albertine, qui etait à La Hoguette, Calvados. Mathurin (père) est décédé le 12 juin, 1940, à l'age de 84 ans. Ses demier jours furent à l'hopital de Falaise, Calvados, France. Il est inhumé dans le cimetière de l'église Sainte-Trinite à Falaise, Calvados, France.

On February 4th, 1877, he married Francoise Allanic, daughter of Pierre Allanic and Julienne Le Fouiller. They were wed in the church of Malguenac, Morbihan, France.

Francoise was born on April 15, 1858 at (Stumultan) Malguenac, Bretagne, France.

Mathurin was a farmer at Lann-Sarre in Guem where they had 11 children. In March, 1905, they decided to emmigrate to Canada. They left France with their daughter Marguerite, joined by her new husband Gaston Rebiffé, and their other children Marie-Louise, Mathurine, Mathurin, and Marie. Julien, the eldest, stayed in France.

The family boarded the ship in Saint-Malo, port of France, where they journeyed to Liverpool, England. They set sail from there on the ocean going vessel "Vancouver" which took them to Halifax, the last leg of their journey was travelled by train which took them to Saint-Claude, Manitoba.

They settled in a house south of Saint-Claude prior to purchasing a farm north of town on Section #2-9-7. Here they lived until 193 3 when they decided to return to France. The farm was handed to Fernand and Marie-Louise Bruneau, and subsequently handed to their son Albert and his wife Marie-Louise. Marc Bruneau, great-grandson of Mathurin and Francoise, is the current owner of the farm.

Francoise passed away at (Stumultan) Malguenac, Morbihan. Her husband Mathurin moved in with his son Mathurin and wife Albertine in La Hoguette, Calvados, France. He passed away on June 12, 1940, at the age of 84. His last days were spent at the Falaise Hospital in Calvados. He was buried in the St-Trinite cemetary in Falaise, France.
