Leon Ashley Allen
January 10, 1942 - July 27, 2018
Abbeville, Georgia- Leon Ashley Allen, 76, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Leon was born on January 10, 1942, to the late Leon Pearman and Josie Hatch Allen in Cross City, Florida. He graduated from Dixie County High School in 1960 and married Patsy Allen, his wife of fifty-three years. Besides his Lord and Savior, he cherished time spent with his family. An opportunity to get together was never turned down. Leon created reasons to fellowship, from shelling peas, enjoying the corn he grew, or the opening day of deer season; moments with family were truly special. He loved being outdoors, fishing, and was especially fond of growing sunflowers. He owned and operated his own Pest Control Service, he was a member of Perry Church of God, Professional Pest Control Association, and the TLC Hunting Club. Leon was especially fond of the hunting club he owns, Indian Mounds. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Allen, and his special father-in-law, Charles Lamb.
Left to cherish the memories they shared with Leon are his loving wife, Patsy Allen of Abbeville; his children, Donna Horne of Perry, Jennifer Allen Langston (Chuck) of Henderson, Chad Straka of Abbeville, Ashley Nichole Causey (Joshua) of Perry, Hunter Straka (Taylor) of Pineview; grandchildren, Beth Langston and Hatt Langston both of Henderson; great-grandchildren, Lilly Straka and Daisy Straka both of Pineview, Gunner Causey of Perry, Hubert Allen, Friend Ronnie, Phylis White (Charles), and special mother-in-law, Carolyn Lamb.
