Dawson Morgan, 17, of Almond passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018.

He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on October 12, 2000 to Amy Smith-Kerlin and Johnny Morgan.

Dawson loved life. He was full of energy and always had something going on. He loved people and had a personality that was bigger than life. He loved his family and was the true definition of a loyal friend. He would make you crazy and melt your heart all at the same time.

He was a Christian who was never afraid to tell anyone about Jesus. He had no fear.

Dawson is survived by his parents Amy Smith-Kerlin and Donnie H. Kerlin of Almond and Johnny Elmo Morgan And Robyn Smith of Calico Rock; three brothers, Gage Morgan of Almond, Gunner Morgan of Waldron, Colter Morgan and Cheynee Morgan of Witcherville; three sisters, Macy Morgan of Almond, Madison Henderson and husband Dylan of Fort Smith, Tawni Morgan of Poteau, Oklahoma; his grandmother, Shirley Kerlin; and many aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Della Smith.

Pallbearers will be Ben Gould, Andy Mills, Mark Cornett, Keith Cornett, Justin Brackett, and Cody Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Missionary Baptist Church in Concord with Richard Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery.
