Police Release Name of Victim Killed in Beckley Shooting

Police have released the identity of a man who was shot and killed Monday on Main Street in Beckley. Detective Sgt. Morgan Bragg reported that Joshua Craig Webb, 33, of Beckley was pronounced dead on the scene, and two male suspects were charged with crimes associated with the shooting.
Marshall Lewis Ratliff, 24, of Beckley, was charged with first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and battery on an unrelated warrant. Angus Bonetto Moodie Jr., 38, of Beckley, was charged with accessory before the fact, unlawful possession of a firearm and domestic battery for an unrelated active warrant.
According to the Beckley Police Department, Ratliff admitted to pulling the trigger on the gun that killed Webb, and told police he committed the crime because he didn’t like the way Webb looked at his girlfriend. Officers were able to find murder weapon after Moodie took detectives to a location near Alaska Avenue where they found a .22 caliber revolver used in the incident.
