Jim W. Cooper, age 81, was born in Borger, Texas on May 31, 1937. He went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2018. He was a 52-year resident of Pasadena and Deer Park, Texas. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He loved fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, four-wheeling in the mountains, and traveling across his beloved America. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is preceded in death by his father, R.D. Cooper, mother, Tina McMurry, and brother, Ronnie D. Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Cooper; four children and their spouses, Julie Knight, Lori and Michael Hernandez, Kevin and Jackie Cooper, Randy and Kellie Cooper; brother Michael J. Cooper; 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Thomas, Lesley, Michael, Stephanie, Christopher, Rylie, Reese, and Kennedy; 9 great-grandchildren, his beloved African Gray, Coco and Dachshund, Tiddlebug, and many more friends and family. Visitation will be held 5:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, August 2, 2018 in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church - Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Parkway on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2 PM. Interment Houston National Cemetery, Monday August 6, 2018 at 10:45 AM.
