Gordon Warren Reeve was born on May 22, 1937 in Bremerton, Washington to his parents: Glenn and Mary Reeve.
He spent his childhood in Bremerton and Richland, graduating from Richland High School in 1955.
At 17 years of age he enlisted in the United States Air Force. His time in service was spent statewide, primarily in Texas. In 1959, he was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class.
Gordon worked in the commercial construction industry for 41 years, owning and operating his own Acoustical Ceiling company located in Carnation, Washington for over 10 years.
Gordon and Sue met in May of 1997. In 1999, following Gordon's retirement, he and Sue moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where they lived for 14 years.
They were married on January 2, 2005 in Laughlin, Nevada. In 2013 they moved back to Washington, settling in Anacortes.
Gordon enjoyed watching movies, boating, biking, riding ATVs, restoring and showing classic Volkswagens, golfing and travelling.
He was a longtime member of the following clubs: Elks, Eagles, American Legion and Moose. Gordon battled cancer for several years, before passing peacefully in his sleep on February 16, 2016.
He is survived by his wife Sue Reeve, his children: Kim Hillier, Jim Reeve, Aaron Loder, and Jayme Brossard; his grandchildren: Gordon, Cassie, William, Elle, Wyatt, and Maddie; his brother Jim Reeve and his sisters: Sue Harloe and Pat Mayer.
Gordon will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his lifelong friendships, and for being a loving husband and father.
The celebration of Gordon's life will be held at the Anacortes Elks Club on February 27, 2016 at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Elks, Hospice of the Northwest, or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands.
