Jim R. "Jimmy" Black, 68, of Nacogsoches, passed from this life to receive the ultimate light with his God and savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday July, 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Jim was born November 2, 1949 in Nacogdoches to Ellis C. and Bangia McGallion Black.

He was a master carpenter and builder for many years and was very trusted in this field for the quality work that he did.

He was a Master Mason and was a member of the Vidor Lodge #1286. Jim was very proud of his Masonic Legacy and truly lived his life accordingly. Jim has touched many lives with his "Never met a stranger" attitude and he will be dearly missed by all of those who had the great honor of knowing him.
