Jan married William D. "Bill" Simpson on Jan. 19, 1958 and he passed away on Oct. 19, 2014.
Survivors include her brother, Herb Hall (Frosty) of Clay City; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Rick and Barbara Hall of Jasonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 57 years, William D. "Bill" Simpson; sons, Bryan Keith Simpson and Brent David Simpson; and brother, Norman Keith Hall.
Jan accepted her Savior at a young age and attended church all her life until she became ill. She taught Sunday School, Bible School, and tutored at Christian School. She was a seamstress and a Longaberger Basket Consultant for 27 years. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed working in her flower gardens. God was the center of her life. She was an avid bible reader and with that knowledge, provided loving encouragement to many.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Olin Strader officiating. Interment will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville.
