John Fitzgerald came from Ireland and on 2 Oct 1819 married Rose Suzanne Robichaud, daughter of Pierre Robichaud, one of the four pioneers of Tusket Wedge. His house was the furthest east on the point; the house was later occupied by Jean Cottreau. The family moved to Comeau's Hill. They had five girls and then five boys: Marie, Rose, Helene, Marguerite, Rosalie, Simon Pierre, Patrice, Athenase, Jacques and Michel Archange. John Fitzgerald died at Wedgeport in 1837 [sic].
