Last Rites For Roy D. Champion Held At Morton
Funeral services for Roy Davis Champion, 50, of Morton, were held Monday, December 19, at 10:00 a.m. from the Morton First Baptist Church with Rev. W. H. Ross and Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment followed in the Morton Cemetery with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Champion passed awav in the Scott County Hospital in Morton on Saturday morning, following a short illness.
He was a native of Newton County but had lived in Scott County most of his life having resided in Morton for the past sixteen years. He was a member of the Morton First Baptist Church and employed at the Talon Zipper Plant.
The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Robinson Champion; and his mother, Mrs. Ruthie Champion of Morton.
