Mary Jo Kreidler-Prater, age 79, wife of late John Richard Prater, died Wednesday, July 28, 2018 in Kindred Hospital, of Spring TX. Born on February 28, 1939 in Ponca City, OK, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Louise Eberwein. She was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and retired after 25 years of teaching in San Antonio TX. In her retirement, she served with the Republican Women of TX and was a secretary at The Village at Gleannloch Farms, where she resided. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, sewing, baking, and spending time with her friends at The Village.

Mrs. Kreidler-Prater is survived by a brother Leo Eberwein and by Three Sons, David R. Kreidler of Katy, TX, Stephen R. (Kathleen) Kreidler of Apalachin, NY, R. Chris (Karen) Kreidler of Skaneateles, NY; three step-children, Tonja Marshall of Pembroke Pines, FL; Rick Prater (Candi) of Huntsville, TX; Teresa Nowakowski (Stephen) of Houston, TX. Four Grandchildren, Jason Kreidler, Stephanie (Kreidler) Walker, Marisa Kreidler, and Georgia Kreidler. Two Great-Grandchildren, Tenley Walker and Camden Walker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service which will be held in the chapel at The Village at Gleannloch Farms, 9505 Northpointe Blvd. Spring, TX. Wednesday Aug 1, 2018 at 11:30 am. Officiating will be Pastor David Schultz. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband, John Richard Prater, at the Houston National Cemetery. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A reception will follow the service at The Village at Gleannloch Farms.
