It was in nursing school that Meg met Rose Bieda Ryczkowski, who became her life-long best friend. Rose introduced Meg to her future husband, Clayton Larscheid, and they married on May 30, 1949. Ever the nurse, Meg worked at St. Mary's Hospital in OB, as a nursing supervisor, as a clinic nurse, and at a local nursing home. She ended her career volunteering with hospice.
