Schafalia F. “Faye” Wise, 90, Lapel, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at her home following a brief illness.
She was born on December 20, 1927, in Anderson to John R. and Opal D. McKinley.
Faye retired from the former Container Corporation in Anderson and B. & E. Cabinet in Noblesville.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church; the Lida Teeters Circle; and had been a student in Kathy Bowen’s Art Class. She enjoyed painting and has done several works for her family and friends to enjoy.
Faye is survived by two daughters, Debby McClain (Mike) and Melanie (Landoll) Sorrell; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Kris) Coffey, Brandon (Radiena) Kirby, and Jonathan Sorrell; seven great-grandchildren, McKenna, Alyssa, and Kinleigh Coffey, Brennalynn and Bryant Kirby, and Jayden and Violet Sorrell; a niece, Schafalia “Susie” (David) Zirkle; George and Amy Urbanski; and Mike Kirby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Willis H.; and a sister, Dellia Robinson.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2018, at the funeral home.
