He married Hazel Marie Van Hyning on 21 December 1933 in Logan County, Ohio and they had two sons.

Obituary: "Arthur B. Hill, 87, of New London died Thursday at New London Integrated Health Service after a long illness. Born in Middleburg, Ohio, he lived in Vermilion for 51 years, moving to New London a year ago. Mr. Hill was employed as a machinist for the Koehring Thew Shovel Co. in Lorain for 32 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Churchc. Mr. Hill enjoyed fishing, traveling and attending baseball games. Survivors in clude his wife of 65 years, Hazel (nee Van Hyning); sons Tom of New London and Henry James of Chino Valley, Arizona; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Reva Campbell of Marysville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucy (nee Phillips); a brother, and a sister. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where services will be at 10 am Monday. The Reverend John Hood, pastor of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion. Memorials may be made to the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Ohio and Grand Streets, Vermilion 44089."
