Obituary: "Arthur B. Hill, 87, of New London died Thursday at New London Integrated Health Service after a long illness. Born in Middleburg, Ohio, he lived in Vermilion for 51 years, moving to New London a year ago. Mr. Hill was employed as a machinist for the Koehring Thew Shovel Co. in Lorain for 32 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Churchc. Mr. Hill enjoyed fishing, traveling and attending baseball games. Survivors in clude his wife of 65 years, Hazel (nee Van Hyning); sons Tom of New London and Henry James of Chino Valley, Arizona; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Reva Campbell of Marysville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucy (nee Phillips); a brother, and a sister. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where services will be at 10 am Monday.
