On June 5, 2018, the gates of heaven were opened and our Heavenly Father welcomed Judith "Judy" Brasker into His arms.

Judy was born January 8, 1936 to Manford Clyde and Mary Madeline (Julian) Abernathy. Judy was born in Fountain County, Indiana on the family farm where she grew up and lived. She graduated from Perrysville High School.

Judy was introduced to her future husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Brasker by her lifelong friend, Mary Lee (Wilson) Payne. They were married at Cooper's Chapel, southwest of Veedersburg. In 1969, they moved to Williamsport in Warren County.

Judy considered her greatest accomplishment as being a dedicated mother to her three children who were blessed to have her unconditional love and friendship. She and Ronnie enjoyed children so much that they became foster parents for several years.
Judy's favorite hobby was gardening. She specialized in designing and planting gardens that showcased flowers specifically for attracting hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. She also grew the best tomatoes. Judy had a delightful sense of humor that she shared with only a privileged few.

Although she spent most of her life in rural Indiana, Judy loved to learn about other countries, their cultures and foods. Other hobbies included reading, walking, baking, quilting, and coloring. Before her death, Judy was researching beekeeping in hopes of becoming a beekeeper with two of her children.

She was preceded in death by Ronnie; her parents, Manford and Madeline; her siblings, Harold Dean Abernathy, twins, Marilyn Abernathy and Carolyn Abernathy and Sharon (Abernathy) Kunkel.

Judy is survived by her children, John (Yvonne) Brasker of Zionsville, Indiana, Max Brasker of Wingate, Indiana and Sherri Brasker of Wingate; grandson, Jason (Ying) Fogel; granddaughter, Nicole (Tom) Givens and a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Givens. She also is survived by her brother, Lucky John (Susan) Abernathy of New Jersey and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
