Paul L. Fowler

Paul L. Fowler, 80, of 7903 SW Ruby Terrace, a retired manufacturer of electric heaters, died Thursday in the Portland hospital.

Mr. Fowler was credited with perfecting glass and porcelain linings for tanks used in heating water.

Born Feb. 10, 1890, in Germantown, Ky., he had lived in Portland since 1926.

He was a former member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club; Sunnyside Lodge No. 163, AF&AM; Al Kader Shrine; Gyro International and the Aero Club.

He is survived by his wife, Cherry; a son, Fred A. Fowler of Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Thompson, Falls Church, Va., and Mrs. Bess Bennett, Ft. Worth, Tex.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Finley’s Morninglight Chapel with private entombment at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.

The family suggests remembrances be in the form of contributions to charity.
