He was born on May 22, 2000 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Paul and Laurie Howard. Early in his childhood Clay was diagnosed with MPS II or Hunter Syndrome. With the help from his mother, father, brother Jack and a host of family, friends and care givers, Clay was able to manage through his disease and live an exceptional life.
He graduated from W. B. Ray High School in May of 2018. Clay loved to be around people, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with family and friends. Clay also rode horses, swam with dolphins, went to Disney thanks to Make a Wish Foundation and threw out the first pitch at the Corpus Christi Hooks baseball game. He was the Pilot for the Day at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station in 2006. Clay also loved going to CampCAMP in Center Point, TX. The week before his passing, Clay attended his last time at CampCAMP and had a great time. Clay was full of life and his laugh and smile could light up the day.
