She had been employed 17 years as a crossing guard working int the vicinity of the Woodland Way Elementary School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hagerstown. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, Merle Franklin Boward; daughter, Barbara Ann Mongan, Hagerstown; and two brothers, Homer D. Stoner and Charles O. Stoner, both of Hagerstown.
Services were held at the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
