Herbert “Herb” Ellenbrand, 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on May 22, 1932 to the late Herbert and Josephine Ellenbrand (Knable) in Navilleton, Indiana. Mr. Ellenbrand honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked in quality control. Mr. Ellenbrand dedicated his life to full time ministry after retirement. He spent 25 years spreading the word of Jesus at the Henryville Correctional Unit. Mr. Ellenbrand had a passion for souls of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and golfing. He was a member of the Christian Family Worship Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana and the Local 862 Union. Mr. Ellenbrand was preceded in death by his son, Mark Ellenbrand, his brothers, Lambert Ellenbrand, Lambert Ellenbrand, Francis Ellenbrand, Raymond Ellenbrand, Clarence Ellenbrand, and his sisters, Mary Byerly and Veronica Ellenbrand.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret Ellenbrand of Borden, his sons, Brian Ellenbrand (Karen) of Floyds Knobs, Tim Ellenbrand (Susan) of Pekin, Indiana and his daughter Sabrina Horton (Larry) of Nabb, Indiana. Mr. Ellenbrand also leaves behind 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great- Grandchild.
