Obituary for Jennifer M Moody

Jennifer M. Moody, age 70 of Batesville, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at her home. Born June 26, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she is the daughter of Frances and Nelson Lawrence. She was a longtime property manager for Hillendale Apartments.

Jenny had a passion for flowers and dogs. She had many dogs over the years that were members of the family rather than a pet. According to her family, Jenny was a great cook, but they teased that apparently she was a pretty good QVC customer and liked watching soap operas. They described her as a little fireball with a quick wit. Other interests included being a Colts fan, reading Stephen King books and long, leisurely walks especially with her family. Her greatest joy was being with her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter Holly Meginniss of Spokane, Washington; sons Jason Moody of Greenfield, Indiana, Ryan Moody of Morris, Indiana, Shawn Raver of Dallas Texas and five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Jenny’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will receive friends Monday, July 30th, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary service at 3:45 p.m. A memorial mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31st at St. Anthony’s Church in Morris with Rev. Shaun Whittington officiating. A private service will be held to entomb her ashes. The family requests memorials to the Oldenburg Academy or Batesville Rescue 10 Life squad.
