Mr. Ernest Upton Allnutt, 86, of Lisbon, formerly of Frederick, died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at his residence.
He was the loving husband of Sarah Allnutt.
Born May 17, 1920, in Boyds, he was the son of the late Herbert and Edna Nicholson Allnutt.
Mr. Allnutt served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
Surviving, besides his wife, are his children, Beulah Mae Duker of Virginia, Sally Ann Downs of North Carolina, Frances Esworthy of Lisbon, Ernest Allnutt Jr. of North Carolina, Elsie Carter of Damascus, Mary Lou Hallford of Georgia and Donna Marie Anderson of Kansas; brothers, Toby Allnutt of Gaithersburg and Bill Allnutt of Florida; sisters, Nancy Gaither of Virginia and Ellen Tignor of Sykesville; 19 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville (hiltonfh.com), where funeral services will be held to celebrate Ernest's life at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3.
Interment will follow in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lisbon Fire Company, P.O. Box 40, Lisbon, MD 21765; or the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
