Mary Prater married Hugh Patrick in 1826. She was the daughter of Archibald Prater: 1755–1831 & Sarah Sally Fugate: 1763–1832. Hugh Patrick was the son of Robert Patrick: 1764–1859 & Elizabeth McMullen: ? –1830.

Mary Prater Patrick is said to have died in 1880 in the state of Kentucky, USA, as of this point in time I have not located a death certificate to verify this date. Hugh Patrick's marital status is listed as a widower on the 1880 census. Mary Prater Patrick can be found living with her husband Hugh Patrick on the 1870 United States Federal Census.

In Talk to Todd-Historical Comments: This quote was taken from the March 2, 2006 issue of THE SALYERSVILLE INDEPENDENT newspaper, written by Todd Preston, the president of the Magoffin County Historical Society at that time.
"We first climbed up to the Patrick-Williams Cemetery and I would have to classify this old cemetery as abandoned. One reason is it is cut off from any access by the Mountain Parkway as are three more I have talked about earlier.
I copied this cemetery in 1980 but some of it was moved to the Sam Henry Patrick Cemetery near the farm of Linville Harvey. Apparently, it included Hugh Patrick b. ca. 1805, son of Robin and Susannah Patrick and his wife Mary b. 1810, dau of Archibald Prater and Sarah Fugate. Now, I remember their graves were marked by fieldstones with only "H. P." and "M. P.". These and other graves were re-interred below the old cemetery and none of them are marked. Of course, other burials in the Sam Henry Patrick connects them together."
A footnote- It should state Hugh Patrick's parents as Robert "Robin" Patrick & Elizabeth McMullen Patrick. Susannah was Hugh Patrick's paternal grandma.

Hugh and Mary Prater Patrick had several children including a set of twins. I descend from one of Hugh & Mary Prater Patrick children.
