Tom passed away with family by his side. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Vancouver, graduating from Kitsilano High School and UBC. In 1976 Tom met and married Loretta and they enjoyed travelling, hiking and canoeing.
Tom taught at Vancouver's Killarney High School until retiring in 1998.
Tom and Loretta moved to Scotch Creek where Tom reconstructed an historic homesteaders cabin and created 'T&L Reflections-A Little Museum". Tom was involved in the North Shuswap Community Association renovation of the community hall and was active in the North Shuswap Historical Society. He received an award from the BC Historical Federation in May, 2010.
Tom leaves behind his wife Loretta, brother Ron (Ruth), and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. TomÃs kind, gentle ways will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14th, 2010 at the North Shuswap Community Hall.
