Douglas William Stone, 76, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in Garrison. His funeral service will be held July 29, 2018, at Watson & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Mr. Stone was born May 25, 1942, in Logansport, Louisiana, to Raymond Oliver Stone and Beatron Wiggins Stone.

Douglas devoted his life to his family. He married his “Honey” Ina Hennigan on July 9, 1960. They were married for 57 years and you could almost always find them alongside each other. Douglas was ordained as a deacon on February 16, 1996 at Center Missionary Baptist Church. On August 1, 1999, he surrendered to preach and was elected associate pastor May 5, 2004. Then on Sunday, August 22, 2004, he was ordained as a minister. He pastored Old Salem MBC and Mims Springs Baptist Mission.

He is survived by:

Son: Ronald Stone and wife, Susan
