Betty Sue Hales Boswell, 87, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm EDT on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

One of eleven children, Mrs. Boswell was born October 26, 1930 in Hartford, AL to the late Buster Hales and Nellie Sue McCormick Hales.

She had worked for years with the Fleming Corporation as an accounts payable administrator. She enjoyed the simple things in life and the love of her family. She loved cooking, crocheting, and spending quality time with all her grandchildren and family. She was a Baptist by faith.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Boswell, a son, Danny Boswell, and five brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Boswell and Donna Boswell Brown, one son, Dennis Fred Boswell, three sisters, Helen Hicks, Peggy Tew, and Ann Clemons, two brothers, Ronald Hales, and Charles Hales; extended family members.
