Mary Elizabeth Evans Conner, 79, of Newnan, died Dec. 26, 2005, at LaGrange Hospice.
A native of Spalding County, she was born Jan. 21, 1926, to the late Edgar and Jennie Sue Nelson Evans.
She was preceded in death by her husband J. D. Conner in 1984, and by a son, Larry Conner, in 1982.
She was a member of Arnco Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Lee Conner of Newnan and Alton Eugene Conner of Greenville. There are eight grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her eight siblings, Palley Evans of North Carolina, Jeanette Gill of Luthersville, Betty Ann Vincent of Newnan, Bud Evans of Moreland, and Ruth Weaver, Louise Gilbert, J. E. Evans and Johnny Evans, all of Newnan.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street, where the family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the McKoon chapel with Reverend Randy Gilbert and Reverend Terry Calhoun officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
