Dana Turner, of Rockwall, TX, passed away July 23, 2018, at the age of 66. She was born March 8, 1952, in Dallas, TX, to Ben Charles and Orva Christine (Turbyfill) Wilson. She was a member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall. Dana had a servant’s heart and volunteered often at both her church and the Rockwall County Library. She helped start a group called Girls in Action for the young girls at Audubon Park Baptist Church. Dana enjoyed reading, traveling, making crafts, and especially spending time with family and friends. Dana loved being a wife, mom, and Mimi. She will be missed dearly.
Dana is survived by her loving husband of 46 years: Gary Turner; daughters: Cristi Evans and husband Jeb and Erin Nix and husband Ben; granddaughters: Megan James and Averie Nix; mother: Chris Wilson; brothers: Ronald Wilson and wife Pat and Keith Wilson; and brother-in-law: Milton Turner, Jr., and wife Susan; along with a host of loving relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Ben Wilson.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held 4:00pm Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home–Rockwall Location with Pastor Larry Jordan officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
