Charles was a veteran of the US Navy and worked for the Virden Elevator and farmed with P.T. Cody. He loved all the children and camping with the family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Doris, Shirley, Arlene, and Joanne, brothers; Fred and Harold.
He is survived by his wife, Idalene, nephews; Jerry and Trevor Casper, Harold Pierson Jr., goddaughters; Denise Hammer and Darcy Weatherly, and several nieces and nephews.
A Military Honors Memorial Service will be held at Camp Butler, time and date forthcoming.
Memorials may go to Memorial Home Hospice.
