Lisa Waddell Coates, of Mechanicsville, passed away August 14, 2015. She is survived by her father, David Waddell Sr., and his wife Cynthia; her mother, Ann Phillips; husband, James Coates; children, Roy, Mary and Henry Coates; stepdaughter, Daisy Coates; and siblings, David Waddell II (Donna) and Linda TenPas (Jan). Lisa was involved in the PTA at the schools her children attended and with many of the sports and other activities her children participated in. Gathering of friends and family was held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Monaghan Funeral Home at 7300 Creighton Parkway in Mechanicsville. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
