David Sharon Lockett, 29, formerly of Ansted, W Va was the son of the late Linda Copling, later adopted by Margaret Lockett and the late James Lockett Sr. David attended the school system in Ansted until he was no longer physically able to attend. He loved to go to Sunday School and church at the Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Ansted. In addition to his mother, Linda Copling, he was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Vennie Taylor; his adopted father, James Lockett Sr.; and uncle, James Lockett Jr. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Margaret Lockett; a brother, Calvin Ray Copling.
